Hi, I’m Helen.
I became a celebrant because I believe that words have the power to make a moment last forever.
I've always been drawn to people and the stories they carry — the little details that make a relationship unique, the memories that define a life, the hopes wrapped up in a new beginning. When I discovered celebrancy, it felt like something clicked into place. Now I get to do what I love: listen, write, and stand up in front of the people who matter most to you and tell your story with the care it deserves.
I'm based in Auckland and I'm available for ceremonies across New Zealand. I feel incredibly honoured to be trusted with life’s most meaningful moments.
Every ceremony I create is approached with warmth, care, and genuine connection — because I believe the words spoken during these moments should feel deeply personal, authentic, and truly reflective of the people at the heart of them.
About Me
After a long and fulfilling professional career, where leadership, people, and storytelling were at the heart of what I did, I found myself stepping into the next phase with a sense of curiosity about what was ahead. What I didn’t expect was to fall, quite by accident, into the world of celebrancy… and to love it so much that here I am.
I’ve spent years MC’ing events, delivering eulogies, and speaking at milestones where emotion and meaning matter. The connection with people, the crafting of words, the privilege of holding a moment that matters — it all felt natural.
I’m married, with one daughter, three wonderful step‑children, and two grandchildren. Our blended family is full of love, resilience, and joy, and they’re a big part of who I am.
I’m someone who brings positive energy into a room. I love working with people, listening to their stories, and helping them feel seen and supported. Becoming a celebrant has given me a place where all of that comes together. It’s where I can make a genuine difference — by creating ceremonies that feel personal, thoughtful, and beautifully grounded in who you are.
This work isn’t just something I do. It’s something I care deeply about. And I’d be honoured to help shape a moment that becomes part of your story.
I'm a trained and accredited celebrant through New Zealand Association of Registered Celebrants. I'm committed to ongoing professional development so I can give every client the very best.
Completed NZ Marriage Celebrancy and the Law 2025 course through Celebrants Training College
Appointed as an independent marriage and civil union celebrant under the Marriage Act 1955 and Civil Union Act 2004
